Designed as an introduction to woodwork, this short course is a great opportunity to spend a couple of days in my newly woodland workshop, trying out many of the woodworking tools and techniques involved in chairmaking.
Over the two days you will make a beautiful footstool or small table, using drawknives and bench planes. You will also have a go at using a pole lathe, and learning about different timbers, their uses, painting and finishes.
Suitable for beginners and students seeking a simple introduction to woodworking.
All tools, materials, and a delicious vegetarian lunch are included.

Groups will be of ten people at the most. The woodland is situated 15 miles north of Lewes.
The course is not residential, if you would like a shortlist of local accommodation please get in touch.
Please make sure that you are able to travel independently to the site which is near the village of Nutley.
